Position Description   
Given specific direction, provides software configuration management and technical software
build/release support to Engineering by administering automated configuration management tools.
Assembles controlled software configuration items and creates and maintains controlled software
baselines. Maintains an inventory and record of all software baselines sent to customers. May perform
computer systems task assignments within Engineering including: software configuration management
(SCM) tasks including performing software builds and tools systems administration for CM and Change
management tools; PC database requirements analysis, design, development, and implementation; and
other engineering development tool administration tasks. COTs and Open Source SW license tracking &
verification. Tool administration tasks include script software requirements analysis, design,
development, implementation, and maintenance, and tool configuration and installation.

Skills Required    
• Under the direction of more senior SCMs, candidate will be expected to learn and apply specific
Software Configuration Management tools and principles. Skills may include and are not limited to: o
Rational Clearcase/Clearquest o GIT & GFORGE
• Candidate will be required to apply for and attain a Government Security Clearance to the Top Secret
Level. Candidate can start with a Secret Clearance. - Proficiency with MS Office products (i.e. Word,
Excel, Outlook)
• Bachelor’s Degree, will consider Associates with experience
• Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast moving, environment
• Candidate must have excellent organizational skills. Candidate will be evaluated based upon work
accuracy, punctuality to assigned tasks and ability to work within a team environment. - Excellent
Communication Skills  

Skills Preferred    
- ClearCase and GIT experience
- General knowledge of Configuration Management Principles and industry standards such as
- Ability to apply CM Principles to Software Development projects.
- Understanding of Formal Change Control Process and how to apply to SW Development.  

Experience Required    
Experience in Software Configuration Management, Software Build/Release Engineering  

Experience Preferred   
Experience in training and working with Engineering in understanding and applying CM processes to the
SW Development, Build & Release environments on individual projects.  

Education Required    
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (i.e., Computer Science, Computer Systems, Management
Information/Systems Technology) will be considered with little to no experience required. Will consider
Associates degree accompanied with years of direct SCM experience.

Education Preferred    
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Systems, Management
Information Systems and Technology
